The present disc is a mastering of the concert given by the Kuss Quartet at the Juan March Foundation in Madrid on April 8, 2026. It constitutes the world premiere recording of String Quartets No. 11 and 12 by Conrado del Campo (1878-1953), one of the most original and overlooked Spanish composers of the first half of the 20th century. This recording is part of the Conrado Project. Launched in 2021, this ambitious initiative aims to program, for the first time, the complete set of the composer’s thirteen string quartets and to publish the complete edition of their scores, almost all of which are unpublished, accompanied by recordings released under the MarchVivo label, thus contributing to the rediscovery of this unjustly forgotten repertoire.
