Stay Human Volume II

Description

Stay Human Vol. II is the seventh studio album by Michael Franti & Spearhead. The album was produced by Don Corleone (Usher, Migos, Rihanna), Johann Carlsson (Ariana Grande, Little Mix, Charlie Puth), Kevin Baird (Two Door Cinema Club), Niko Moon (Zac Brown Band), and Ben Simonetti (Blake Shelton). This record was influenced by Michael Franti's documentary of the same name, Stay Human, which chronicles the musician's travels from the Philippines to South Africa, where he met "both ordinary and heroic people" to discover "what it means to be and to stay human." The first single "Just To Say I Love You" addresses the search for new ways to express love to someone, not just saying it but expressing it through actions. At the heart of the album is the struggle to navigate between feelings of helplessness and the desire to make a difference in this vast, burning world.
