Frank Zappa – The Mothers 1971 is an 8CD box set celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mothers of Invention in the 1971 lineup (Mark Volman & Howard Kaylan (Flo & Eddie), Ian Underwood, Jeff Simmons, Aynsley Dunbar, Jim Pons, Bob Harris, and Don Preston) featuring the complete recordings of the 4 concerts held at the Fillmore East in New York, including the encore with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, as well as the full concert from the Rainbow Theatre in London. It was during this London concert that Frank Zappa was ejected from the stage, seriously injured, and the tour had to be canceled.
