La sortie de Frank Sinatra - Duets 20th Anniversary célèbre le vingtième anniversaire de la parution de l'album original Duets. Publié en 1993, Duets regroupait des standards de Sinatra réenregistrés en duo avec un large éventail de superstars mondiales comme Charles Aznavour, Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Julio Iglesias, Bono ou encore Luther Vandross, Tony Bennett. Le succès du disque fut tel que l'année suivante paraissait un deuxième volume, Duets II, avec des artistes tout aussi illustres : Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Patti LaBelle, Frank Sinatra Jr. L'édition Deluxe réunit ces deux albums mythiques, augmentés de titres parus sur des éditions spéciales de 2005 pour le 90ème anniversaire de Frank Sinatra, comme le duo de My Way avec Willie Nelson (sorti sur le pressage américain) ou celui avec Luciano Pavarotti (qui figurait sur des pressages internationaux).
