Christopher Francis Ocean, also known as Frank Ocean, is a talented songwriter, composer, and performer. Used to the shadows due to his collaborations with John Legend, Beyoncé, or Bridget Kelly, he steps into the spotlight in 2011 with his mixtape "Nostalgia Ultra," which will achieve media and commercial success. Highly appreciated in the hip-hop scene, he is invited by Jay Z and Kanye West on 2 tracks from the event album "Watch the Throne." Unanimously voted as the most successful track of the album, "No Church In The Wild" solidifies Frank Ocean's talent. By collaborating with NAS and Pharrell Williams, he emerges as the new voice of US R&B. With intelligent lyrics and polished productions, he elevates the genre to another level. At 28, the former producer of "The Midi Mafia" will present his first album "Channel Orange" on 07/16 digitally and on 08/20 in stores. Far from the clichés of R&B, the tracks "Thinkin about You" and "Pyramides" announce a rich, mature, and already highly anticipated project. 2012 could very well be the year of Frank Ocean, having come in second in the highly regarded BBC Sound 2012 (behind Michael Kiwanuka), he will open for Coldplay's European tour on 09/02 at the Stade de France for their Paris date.
