Vol. 2 Concert A Prades Le Lez

Description

FRANCOIS TUSQUES ET L'INTERCOMMUNAL FREE DANCE MUSIC ORCHESTRA embody an approach that is both artistic and activist, aiming to bring together different cultures through music and to fight against social and national divisions. In 1971, after recording a series of records that would leave their mark on jazz made in France (Free Jazz, of course, with Michel Portal, François Jeanneau among others, but also Le Nouveau Jazz with Barney Wilen or Piano Dazibao as a solo), François Tusques founded L'Intercommunal with a fraternal and international vision: using music as a tool for solidarity between peoples and against injustices.`Recorded in Prades-le-Lez, this concert constitutes the discographic origin of the group. The musicians offer energetic and lively music, intended above all to be played live.A free and creative mix of jazz, blues, traditional music, funk and African influences, reflecting a cultural openness and a desire for experimentation.Fifty years later, this work retains all its relevance, both through its message of fraternity and its musical energy.
