Gotham goodbye
Description
Goodbye Gotham, hello Paris... After twenty years of good and loyal service in New York, Franck Amsallem signs a record in the form of a farewell to the American megacity and asserts, at the head of a brilliant quartet, that the jazz as he conceives it can be played just as well here and now. Having gone to study in the United States in 1981, graduating from the Berklee College of Music two years later, Franck Amsallem spent two decades as a professional jazz musician in New York, where he played alongside the greatest, led his own groups, and recorded a series of notable records with major jazz musicians. In 2001, twenty years to the day after setting foot on American soil, Franck Amsallem made the choice to return to live in France without, however, leaving behind everything that his New York experience had brought him. After two albums dedicated to standards, he signs with Gotham Goodbye an album of original compositions that marks his return to the forefront of the scene.Buy Gotham goodbye at the best price
