Sara Levy (1761-1854) was the favorite student of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach and an important patron of Berlin music. Her immense collection of music, considered lost after the Second World War, only resurfaced a few years ago. It contains a surprising number of chamber music works for viola. With her ensemble Salon Violet, violist Francesca Venturi Ferriolo performs works for her instrument with basso continuo, but also for two and three violas, by Benda, C.P.E.
