With 'Vieni, o Notte', Francesca Aspromonte releases her first album for Aparté with an all-Scarlatti program. Alongside Arsenale Sonoro and Boris Begelman, she explores three cantatas (sometimes subtitled serenata) where the master makes the night the stage for his characters' thwarted loves. He entrusts them with painful, contemplative, or burning arias and recitatives, complemented by two sonate a quattro with madrigalesque lines, whose performance by the Arsenale Sonoro quartet highlights the bold harmonic shifts, the shadows and the lights. The album closes with 'All'hor che stanco il sole', a world premiere, a musical meditation on love and loss. Aspromonte deploys an art of line and word that illuminates all the sensuality of this music.
