Monsieur Julien

Description

Fourth solo album by FLYNT, the legend of Paris underground rap, MONSIEUR JULIEN is FLYNT’s 4th album: authentic, autobiographical, self-produced. Lyrically, this new fully self-produced opus is of rare authenticity. At once raw and polished, Flynt’s writing develops powerful storytelling and hits the mark with every rhyme. Never easy, never gratuitous, all loaded with meaning, none of them there by chance. With Paris as a backdrop, family, childhood, passing on, love, money, destiny, perseverance, mental health, rap, the passing of time... are all subjects addressed with finesse and sincerity. Musically, MONSIEUR JULIEN combines boom bap drums and magical loops. And a pinch of trap drums. The artistic direction chosen by Flynt perfectly matches his style, his subject matter and his world, and will delight his longtime fans. MONSIEUR JULIEN tells the story of a wounded child and the man he became. Whatever story we inherit, the most important is the one we write.
