It all began with the “simple” idea of bringing together “virtuoso” rock musicians and a “pop” singer to make “new music the old-fashioned way”... Flying Colors was born that way, bringing together Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (vocals, guitar) and Steve Morse (guitar). Together, they succeeded in creating a unique fusion between vintage influences and thoroughly contemporary sounds. A classy “studio” collaboration, also destined for breathtaking live performances. What had started as an unlikely union between five strong personalities has now become a reality far more rewarding than each musician could have imagined at the outset. Both classic and modern, Flying Colors’ music draws its richness from the multitude of shades, tones and sounds that the band members have magnificently blended and refined for the greatest pleasure of fans during sumptuous concerts.
