With *Jacht der Mysteriën*, FLUISTERAARS delivers their sixth album, presenting three monumental epics that mark the group's first work entirely conceived and performed as a complete collective performance. Created in a "live" group dynamic, *Jacht der Mysteriën* (the hunt for mysteries) is a record centered on the quest for the transcendental unknown. By nature, mystery is elusive while being deeply alluring: devoid of tangible form, it becomes clearer as one questions and pursues it, only to ultimately slip away again into the forests, history, thought, or space itself. Embracing mystery involves rejecting fixed frameworks and constantly seeking new perspectives. To embody this concept, FLUISTERAARS drew from local legends about a figure who followed mysterious lights in the woods and never returned, while also finding inspiration in the attentive observation of their immediate surroundings. Unlike more conventional studio productions, *Jacht der Mysteriën* was recorded in a single "live" take with their long-time producer, T. Cochrane, capturing the music as a unified whole. This collective and spontaneous approach enhances the sense of urgency, movement, and impermanence that permeates the album. The recording was then broadcast through the hollow structure of a decommissioned water tower. This process gives the sound an ethereal atmosphere, akin to mist, creating the impression that anything can emerge or disappear without warning, much like true mysteries.
