Chris Ousey has had an excellent singing career dating back to the days of "Monroe" and "Virginia Wolf," and along the way, we had "The Distance," "Ozone," and "Snakecharmer," but he will always be known for the much-loved "Heartland." He is nicknamed "The Man with the Golden Tonsils," and it is truly a beautiful distinction as he has earned it. His effortless vocal range has secured him a prominent place in the world of classic British hard rock. Chris has also recorded two excellent solo albums, "Rhyme and Reason" and "Dream Machine." Jim Kirkpatrick is a highly respected guitarist, best known for playing with the rock band FM and completing the lineup with Billy Sheehan and Nigel Glockler, who again have a great deal of experience in rock/metal circles. "The Flood" recorded their first album "Hear Us Out," and in doing so, they offered us 12 tracks of quality heavy rock. Incidentally, this is really intense old-school rock with a truly consistent vibe. Songs like "Overdrive," "I Can't Stop," and "Til Dawn Us Do Part" are good examples of the quality showcased here, but there is simply no filler as they transition from one song to another. It’s also a bonus to have the great Didge Digital (ex-FM) playing keyboards. It was time to have a good original heavy rock album that deserves to be mentioned, so, in their own words, "Listen to Us"!!
