Flock Of Dimes (formerly of Wye Oak and Dungeonesse) releases her first solo album, A subtle electro-pop under a crystalline voice. Flock Of Dimes, aka Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak, Dungeonesse) releases her first album If You See Me, Say Yes on the prestigious label Partisan Records. It took many years of work for the talented Jenn Wasner to release her first album: a personal blend of electro and pop music. A year ago, Wasner left her hometown, Baltimore, to make a fresh start in Durham (North Carolina). She left behind the significant places of her childhood, her family, and her first fan club. On a very danceable track like "Minor Justice" or conversely the ethereal "Everything Is Happening Today," there is always that feeling of solitude and nostalgia that comes when one is immersed in a new environment. Flock Of Dimes describes communication across long distances, both literal and physical, and the infinite space that exists even between the closest people. Wasner wrote, directed, and self-produced the record, with the help of Mickey Freeland in Baltimore and Aaron Roche in New York. It was mixed in Dallas by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen).
