Measuring up to the work of Morricone is a sacred task, especially when the main artists behind this tribute, Ferruccio Spinetti and Giovanni Ceccarelli, are both Italian. (Giovanni Ceccarelli) In light of the vastness of Morricone's work, the first preparatory step of this project involved establishing the repertoire of works, a selection that could evoke his considerable musical spectrum while not limiting itself to interpretations of well-known pieces. The selection of works featured on the album More Morricone is therefore the result of a collaborative effort among the artists, the production team, and also Massimo Cardinaletti, a great expert in film music and a close friend of Ennio Morricone. "More Morricone" is a precious and delicate album in which Morricone's works are elevated by two artists whose friendship and musical collaborations over more than 20 years have made this realization possible.
