" A unique artist and stylist with an immediately recognizable style and sound. Sophisticated blues, yet always deeply blues as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Fenton passed away in 1997 and left behind a sadly small collection of recordings.
Hardly more than a dozen albums between 1957 and 1997 under his name. He accompanied great names in Blues such as Junior Wells, Charlie Musselwhite, James Booker, B.B King.
He recorded in 1975 on the ALLIGATOR label, one of the masterpieces of Blues: “Somebody Loan Me A Dime.” The title track of this album was a huge success and was used in several films including “The Blues Brothers.”
This unreleased album enriches his discography and honors his memory.
