Description
Obsolete is the third studio album by American industrial metal band Fear Factory, released in 1998. Produced by Fear Factory, Greg Reely and Rhys Fulber, the latter having written, arranged and performed all keyboard parts, it is the band's first full album with bassist Christian Olde Wolbers. Musically, this album allowed Fear Factory to experiment with their own sound and constitutes the band's first full concept album. Obsolete revolves around a story written by singer Burton C. Bell, "Conception 5", which takes place in 2076, when machines have taken control of humanity.
