This new album "Machines de guerre" is a distillation of everything that has shaped DARCY. Building on their first album "Tigre", the band has managed to sublimate their music to extract the quintessential riffs. Indeed, those who discover DARCY through "Machines de guerre" might nickname the band's first effort "Tigreau", as the promise of the tiger was kept in the lyrics but not yet in the music, which was less massive and sharp than that of their second album. All the songs have gained testosterone, the words are the same but the purr has become a roar.
DARCY are here to fight and validate on this record the place they have earned through their stage performances all over France. It's no coincidence that Kemar, singer of NO ONE IS INNOCENT, already featured on the track "La Marine", is present alongside Irvin to let loose on "Viens chercher pogo", which will certainly raise dust at summer festivals and initiate legendary wall of deaths. And if the violence of the title is there, the lyrics are too because DARCY "preaches the pit to get the real ones". On "L'Étincelle au brasier", it's Niko from TAGADA JONES who gets involved. The loop of collaborations is complete with another "Made in Breizh" feature, Pierre from MERZHIN on "Notre Hymne". And we can be sure that other artists will join them in concert, as DARCY loves to share the stage to make each show unique.
"No one dreams of revolution anymore, now they dream of a permanent contract" they sing in "Cuidado". The DARCY revolution, however, is underway and nothing seems able to stop it!
