EXTINCTION is an Italian thrash/death metal band formed in May 1995 in the Lecce area, whose 4th overpowering thrash death album is presented here.For fans of DEMOLITION HAMMER, MASSACRE, SOLSTICE, INHUMAN CONDITION.After the release of their demo "Progress Regress" in 1996, which attracted the attention of the specialized press, the band split up at the end of 1997.The project was reborn in Turin in 2014 with original guitarist Danilo Bonuso and the arrival of singer Alice Darkpeace, who brought wide visibility to the band after her performance of the single "Conspirators" on the show "Italia's Got Talent" in 2016.In 2017, Extinction released their first album, "The Monarch Slaves", on Unholy Fire Records, followed by concerts in Italy and abroad, notably in Germany and Serbia.With a new lineup, the band released "The Apocalypse Mark" in 2019 on Revalve Records and toured Germany and Italy.Their third album, "Cryogenesis", recorded at MK2 Recording Studio and produced by Davide Billia, was released on Punishment 18 Records in April 2023.Since then, the band has continued to perform internationally, notably at the biggest European metal festivals.For fans of Inhuman Condition, Solstice, Massacre and Demolition Hammer.Mixing, mastering and recording: MK2 Recording Studio by Davide "BrutalDave" Billia (Ekpyrosis, Putridity, Avulsed, Beheaded, Antropofagus, Septycal Gorge, Unbounded Terror).Artwork: Sheila Franco (Celtic Hills, Selvans, Hell in the Club, Cadaveric Crematorium, Eternal Tragedy, Rawfoil).Guest musicians: Katija Di Giulio (violin, tracks 1 and 2); Eris Nocturna Aura (vocals, track 4).
