In Memoriam

Description

Evermore rewrites the traditional rules of European (melodic) power metal in an extraordinary and unique way. With their first album "Court Of The Tyrant King," released in 2021, they demonstrated remarkable talent. With "In Memoriam," their ideas, writing, and overall artistic approach take it to the next level. While still adopting a heavy and aggressive tone, Evermore's breathtaking melodies intertwine and create intelligently structured songs that are still catchy and radio-friendly. This time, the Swedish band even enlisted a church choir to add an extra layer of sound. From a lyrical standpoint, "In Memoriam" can be seen as an album about people and the daily struggles that affect us all: "For those who lost their voice in the dark of night/Compassion is the flame that leads you home." Evermore's goal is to create music that makes you feel "something" and fosters that sense of empowerment, mood elevation, and motivation that is so strongly associated with the metal genre.
