United, Œuvres pour trombone

Description

A young trombonist from the mountains of South Tyrol (Italy) came to the United States because he wanted to learn the American way of playing brass at the Juilliard School in New York. This led him to play as Principal Trombone in the Colorado Symphony Orchestra during their 2014-15 season. After four years in the United States, he returned to Europe to play as a trombonist for the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic in 2016-17. He combines a European soul with an American spirit and brings all of this into his debut album "United," released on the Hello Stage label. The album features new works by Todd Goodman and Ricardo Mollá Albero, as well as trombone standards such as Sonatine by Jacques Castérède and Hommage à Bach by Eugène Bozza. Truly fascinating are the arrangements of well-known pieces on this album. Peter Steiner begins with a powerful interpretation of Syrinx by Claude Debussy, originally written for flute. Other arrangements include an aria from the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, as well as two arrangements by Astor Piazzolla. The Hello Stage label is the new label of the largest online classical music community, www.hellostage.com. It offers its best artist the opportunity to record music that is important to them. An original record that is a must-listen!
