Marquing a major artistic milestone, Amour is the first album in which the violinist and social media phenomenon Esther Abrami places at the heart of the project an original large-scale composition: a suite in nine movements entirely written by her. Designed as an intimate and deeply expressive exploration of love in all its forms, this work reveals the entire emotional palette, from tenderness and passion to longing and sorrow, and constitutes the heart of a project that blends original music and new reinterpretations for violin and orchestra. Beyond this central suite, Amour brings together an eclectic selection of iconic classical works dedicated to love, all newly arranged by Esther Abrami for solo violin and orchestra. Among the highlights of the album is the Love Theme from Roméo et Juliette by Nino Rota, performed with the famous mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti. Marina Viotti's voice adds a striking dimension to this piece, engaging in a true duet with Esther's violin. The program also includes epic symphonic versions for violin and orchestra of All by Myself by Céline Dion and L'amour est un oiseau rebelle (Habanera), an excerpt from Carmen by Georges Bizet. New arrangements of Chemins de l'amour by Francis Poulenc, the Danse des Esprits bienheureux (Mélodie) from Orfeo ed Euridice by Christoph Willibald Gluck, as well as the virtuosic intensity of the Chaconne in G minor by Tomaso Antonio Vitali, enrich this collection of works centered around love. The album also features a new version, arranged by Esther Abrami, of Désillusion amoureuse by Charlie Chaplin, from the film Le Cirque, a poignant composition that reveals the musical sensitivity of the legendary filmmaker. Throughout her career, Esther Abrami has distinguished herself by her ability to bring classical music closer to a wide and diverse audience, offering a fresh perspective on the repertoire. With Amour, she takes a new artistic step by combining her work as a composer and her unique voice as a performer, thus shaping a musical language that is distinctly her own. The album is released on double vinyl, in a limited edition Ecorecord InkPlosion, where each disc features a unique design.
