Songs From Chicago

Description

Thomas Hampson, one of the most renowned American baritones excelling in the art of classical music and poetry set to music, releases his first album under the Cedille Records label featuring a program of music by five 20th-century composers associated with the city of Chicago: Ernst Bacon, Florence Price, John Alden Carpenter, Margaret Bonds, and Louis Campbell-Tipton. All of them, according to Hampson, "have distinguished themselves in history as great voices of American artistic narration."
