Pilgrim

Description

Eric Clapton, 53 years old, a guitar “God” who burned through his life on heroin and Southern Comfort, rises once again. Pilgrim, a raw new album, shaped from blues, soul and samba, confesses the wounds of the past, the breakups, the forgiveness, the faith in others and in tomorrow, the belief in guardian angels. That is 14 tracks woven with guitars, organs, violins and drum machines, which draw the intimate portrait of this Englishman from Surrey who wanted to be a black bluesman. Since 1963, Eric Clapton has written his name into rock history through legendary bands: the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Plastic Ono Band (with John Lennon), Derek and the Dominos. He alone has played with the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and the Who.
