The Turn (2007), the seventh studio album by Alison Moyet, is reissued in a Deluxe Double CD edition, including the original album, live performances, B-sides, and bonus tracks. Written with her long-time collaborator Peter Glenister, this album is a unique creation that offers remarkable variety and exceptional depth that beautifully frame her soul and blues-tinged interpretation. The album includes the singles 'One More Time' and 'A Guy Like You', and features three songs written for the play 'Smaller'. 'The Turn is an album of well-crafted songs. We started building it from a core of songs, the shapes of Roy Orbison that move from a sweet place to a passionate climax. It’s about melody and clever lyrics. We let the tension stretch from there.
