The memory of trees

Description

For many, Enya symbolizes new age. Her voice, at once inhabited, clear and sharp, accompanied by sophisticated musical compositions, is among the genre’s greatest achievements. And the album The Memory Of Trees does nothing to undermine her reputation for Celtic integrity. Songs like "China Roses" and "Hope Has A Place" combine the simple elegance of traditional folk with complex compositions and highly elaborate studio work. All of this produces a truly stunning effect. Whether she sings in English, Gaelic or Latin, Enya conveys a deep, somewhat disconcerting blend of spirituality and sensuality.
