It is in the Saint-Séverin church, located in the Latin Quarter of Paris, that the Saint-Séverin Vocal Ensemble achieved the feat of recording sixteen mass chants with simplicity and emotion, some of which are among the most beautiful in liturgical music. Enhanced by sumptuous harmonizations, these chants are moving interpretations such as Rimsky Korsakov's "Our Father" or the "Magnificat in the Royal Tone." Joël Sibille, the Chapel Master of Saint-Séverin at the time of the recordings, brilliantly conducts this vocal ensemble, accompanied on the organ by R. Touve Ratovondrahety.
