The twelfth edition of the Édition Wohlhauser presents a fascinating selection of new compositions by René Wohlhauser. At its heart is the eponymous work, *In Meandering Ecstasy*, a musical metaphor for the passage from darkness to light, created by the Ensemble Polysono. Alongside it, contrasting soundscapes unfold: *Dark Voices* explores the tension between light and shadow, while the Piano Trios No. 3 and 4 combine rhythmic energy and structural transformation. The two quartets for flute, clarinet, violin, and cello open up new horizons, from microtonal explorations to dialectical structures that redefine the categories of perception. Finally, the Duo for violin and piano No. 3, "Mirrored Sonicity," radically inverts sound, time, and form.
