The office of Vespers (evening prayer) and that of Matins (night prayer) according to the Russian Orthodox tradition. Sung in Church Slavonic, the liturgical language of this Church, this set of prayers precedes the celebration of the Divine Liturgy (the Mass). Following the Russian tradition, the entire liturgy is sung without any instrumental accompaniment. One can only be amazed by the exceptional quality of the sound recording serving a truly moving interpretation by the Russian choirs of Feodor Potorjinsky.
