In the charming album DUPHLY, the Belombre ensemble, a duo of viols, has selected the most beautiful works from 4 books of harpsichord pieces written by Jacques Duphly, a French composer and harpsichordist of the 18th century. These books, being his only known works, are part of the masterpieces of the harpsichord repertoire. However, it is the harpsichordists who are the first to be passionate about the transposition proposed by the Belombre ensemble. The harmonic richness of the two viols and the expressive bowing amplify the emotion of the moving themes and the great breath of inspiration that runs through these pieces. The success this program has encountered in concert regularly confirms this.
