Jeux de Dames
Description
Happy Birthday to the Amarillis Ensemble! For 30 years, Amarillis has been among the best independent ensembles playing historical instruments. Founded at the initiative of flutist and oboist Héloïse Gaillard, Amarillis is dedicated to exploring the lesser-known side of music, most often Baroque, with refinement and imagination. With Jeux de Dames, Héloïse Gaillard and Jeanne Jourquin, in duo formation, place this program under the sign of the portrait: that of the ladies - recalling at the same time the role they played in the Baroque era as performers or patrons for musical creation - and that of love. This new recording owes much to an exceptional guest, a harpsichord built by Jacques Braux in 1986. Played by the greatest, this fabulous instrument inspired by the craftsmanship of Flemish ravalement harpsichords, gives a unique sonority and sweetness, immortalized for the first time with this eloquent, sensitive, and poetic album.Buy Jeux de Dames at the best price
