Having become one of Germany’s premiere death metal bands - and having rapidly risen through the ranks of the genre as a whole - Endseeker return to the fray with Mount Carcass. Building on the foundations laid by 2017’s Flesh Hammer Prophecy and having the difficult task of beating 2019’s amazing The Harvest, they are back with a streamlined and powerful collection that sets the bar even higher. Like its two predecessors, Mount Carcass was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Eike Freese at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, Germany. Early into the recording, Endseeker knew they wanted something rawer and more organic than The Harvest, and as Covid wreaked havoc worldwide, the band used the time they would have otherwise spent touring to rehearse and discuss what they wanted the record to be. To make the genre sound fresh in 2021, they focused on the production, only having a touch of the old school to stay rooted, and they did not limit themselves too much to the Swedish death metal style they had previously embraced, but also let other influences into their songs. "You can hear all kinds of things that are inspired by bands like Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Slayer, Dissection, Gorefest, etc. We listen to so many different bands and, in a way, a little bit of all of that continues to enrich our music."
