Description

End Of Green has re-recorded its legendary debut album, Infinity. Nearly 30 years later, the band returns to its flourishing roots and lays the groundwork for the future with a new deal with Reaper Entertainment. With their stoner goth, End Of Green carved out its own niche from the very beginning in 1996. The legendary debut album Infinity, released by Nuclear Blast, is a massive bridge between the gothic doom walls of Type O Negative and the roaring desert air of Kyuss. Big songs, lots of reverb and plenty of punch, somewhat plaintive like the marble statue crying in the cemetery and yet fucked up like a drunk after a successful night at the bar. And yes, singer Michelle Darkness sounds like he’s singing to us from a moldy tomb. Sing to us. Like the Lost Boys, only with guitars. The band calls it all “Depressed Subcore” - probably because they don’t really know what else to call it. Metal, rock, gothic, alternative... the Swabians have it all. It rocks like hell too. There’s freshness and atmosphere. It cries. It sits between two stools in such a way that it’s a joy. 30 years later, End Of Green re-records this monument between depression and hedonism. And the result is just as spectacular and special as you can imagine. It all started for us with Infinity, says singer Darkness. “This album is the starting point of a journey of more than 30 years. This band is my life, I can’t and don’t want to say it any other way. Without this band, without my boys, I wouldn’t exist. For me, it’s all about music. That’s why this new recording was a very emotional experience for me. It’s probably my most important album.” With Twinfinity, End Of Green officially enters a new era. Suffering, as End Of Green shows on this spectacular new album, can be fun.
