Elixir, a London-based band formed in 1983, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its classic NWOBHM album *The Son Of Odin* (1986), often cited among the movement's best albums. The edition includes the acclaimed single "Treachery (Ride Like The Wind)", the original demo, the BBC Friday Rock Show session, as well as recent interviews with guitarist Phil Denton and manager Seymour Mincer. Inspired by MSG, Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, and Queensryche, the album blends power and melody and has been praised by the metal press, including *Terrorizer* and *Sweden Rock*.
