Description

Elisabeth Weinzierl and Edmund Wächter are "on the front line" of contemporary flute literature for decades. They have commissioned countless new works and created them in various formations, whether in a duo of Munich flutes, in a trio with piano, or within a larger group (Munich Flute Ensemble), using a whole range of instruments, from piccolo to contrabass flute.||||This double CD offers a unique view of the work of the two musicians. The first CD presents flute duos from the 20th century, from Hindemith to Cage to Isang Yun. The second CD, titled "dedicated to...", contains works of varied instrumentation that were written for them and dedicated to them.
