As with all our ‘Shapes’ compilations, there is a broad mix of genres from artists who are passionate about the creative music they make, so the quality is great.” – Robert Luis The release of ‘Shapes: Diamonds’ comes 20 years after Tru Thoughts’ first ever compilation, ‘When Shapes Join Together’, released on 26th October 1999. Alongside tracks from Steady (Tru Thoughts’ first ever release), Bonobo and Chris Clark, ‘When Shapes Join Together’ featured a selection of cover photos that were all taken on a Saturday afternoon on a street corner in Brighton. Only 500 vinyl and 1000 CD copies were ever made. ‘Shapes: Diamonds’ is available on mint green double vinyl and as a limited-edition orange double vinyl.
