Intégrale des symphonies - 2 CD

Description

Reissue of a classic, historic, and still the finest recording of the complete set of Carlos Chávez’s 6 symphonies by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eduardo Mata. Carlos Chavez is the most important and prolific Mexican composer of the 20th century. He was the first national composer to adopt the “classical” symphonic form, infusing it with elements of Mexican folk music and dances: festive, dynamic, and exhilarating! Eduardo Mata is a true master in this repertoire, and his recording with the London Symphony Orchestra still sounds as fresh and exciting as it did in his 1981 recording.
