For 2015, EDO. G returns with a project entirely produced by Street Wyze, the producer duo newly signed to the label EFFISCIENZ.On the RAP side, a true figure of Boston Hip-Hop, EDO. G moves through the various tracks with his flow and vocal timbre that are his signature. Although the project is concise, it remains fairly broad in the themes addressed, sometimes serious as in "G-Lo (R.I.P.)," sometimes lighter as in "Sorta Way," but always just as penetrating.Edo has this ability to emotionally touch his audience through the richness of his lyrics or simply through the intonation of his voice.On the production side, Street Wyze provides consistent beats that give the Boston rapper a perfect platform to express himself and bring his lyrics to life. Sample play, kick drums, and snares — listeners' heads follow the rhythm of the various tracks throughout the project. The rhythms are punchy, the melodies catchy, and effective enough to easily imprint themselves on the audience. Their "Real Hip-Hop" touch perfectly matches the emcee's style, so much so that in the end, you no longer know who is accompanying whom, whether it's the beatmaker duo or the rapper...As for the guests, we find EDO. G's longtime comrades Reks, Jaysaun, but also the new Boston scene with G.Dot & Born. We also find the artists and close associates of the EFFISCIENZ label with Dirt Platoon, Fel Sweetenberg, Union Blak, Stravin B, and Nutso. Dj Djaz and Dj Netik are also on board to lay down their scratches on a few tracks of the project.
