SYMPHONIQUE (VINYLE NOIR)

Description

ÉDITH PIAF AS YOU'VE NEVER HEARD HER BEFORE! HER VOICE SUBLIMATED BY A SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA! The official project that pays tribute to the greatest voice in French song. Édith Piaf performing her greatest songs 60 years after her death, accompanied in London by a 60-musician symphony orchestra... What might seem like science fiction has become a reality thanks to prestigious musicians, arrangers, and sound engineers. They took on the challenge of creating new orchestrations capable of captivating today's ears, without offending those of their elders. By technically isolating her voice, they have allowed yesterday's refrains to demonstrate that they remain as immortal as their performer. Édith Piaf's voice was extracted from the original masters by a team of sound engineers working at London's mythical Abbey Road studio. The album itself was recorded at the prestigious AIR Studios, also in London. The orchestra is composed of some sixty hand-picked musicians forming the Legendis Orchestra. These musicians come from the most renowned English symphony orchestras (London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Orchestra...). The tracks were arranged by Martin Batchelar, Samuel Pegg, and Nathan Stornetta.
