In this monographic CD, I wanted to bring together these three recent pieces: Pierre d'éclair for orchestra, Over the sea for string trio, accordion and electronics, Drift concerto for clarinet, which could have in common this line by René Char: “How can one live without something unknown ahead?” These three works are inspired, as some of my previous ones were, by the idea of movement: a lightning-fast gesture in Pierre d'éclair, motion relayed by electronics in Over the sea, a dialectic between mobile and immobile in Drift. They also refer to two poets, René Char and Pierre Reverdy, and a painter, Claude Monet, thus continuing my research into the relationships between the arts.
