Earth, Wind & Fire returns with "Holiday," the very first Christmas album from the group! "Holiday" is a spiritual celebration of the holiday season that brings together previously unreleased recordings of great classics ("Winter Wonderland," "The Little Drummer Boy," "Sleigh Ride," "Jingle Bell Rock"), popular carols ("Joy to the World," "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," "What Child Is This?", "Away In A Manger," "The First Noël"), a traditional Japanese song about winter ("Snow"), a modern Christmas song ("Every Day Is Like Christmas"), as well as future classics from Earth, Wind & Fire: "Happy Seasons" (inspired by "Happy Feelin'") and "December" (inspired by "September") featuring the voice of Maurice White. The lead singer of Earth, Wind & Fire and co-founder of the group Philip Bailey states about this album: "This is our first Christmas record project. Produced by Philip Bailey and Myron McKinley (the musical director of the group), "Holiday" is the 21st studio album of the group and their second for Legacy Recordings. Earth, Wind & Fire - "Now, Then & Forever," the first album composed of original songs from the group since 2005, entered at number 11 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in September 2013, thus giving them their best start since the album "Raise!" which entered at number 5 in 1981.
