The music of Dua Saleh (they), a Sudanese-American artist based in Los Angeles, explores the inner self and the world at large. With their highly anticipated debut album, a collection of electronic indie-pop songs infused with R&B titled I Should Call Them, they depict spiritual power, resilience, and the joy of love. Through three critically acclaimed EPs since 2019, in addition to their notable role in the Netflix series Sex Education, Dua Saleh has skillfully fused and reversed genre conventions with a socially conscious style driven by melody and courage. Dua's mastery of poetry and their close ties to indigenous roots have enriched their music with incredible depth. The album features collaborations with serpentwithfeet, Sid Sriram, GALLANT, and Ambré, as well as productions from Rogét Chahayed (Drake, Travis Scott, Jack Harlow), Ryan Olson (Lizzo, Poliça, Har Mar Superstar), and Andrew Broder (Bon Iver).
