The name dreamcastmoe is in some ways synonymous with the Peckham-based label “Rhythm Section INTL.” Although this is their first committed collaboration on record, the story goes back a long way... From the first London shows in Peckham to adventures across multiple continents, the DC-London connection is alive and this recording is proof of it! With a sound so steeped in hip-hop, house, hazy electronics and the DC-specific “go-go” sound, dreamcastmoe, born Davon Bryant-James, burst onto the scene with a refreshing blend of styles, paired with an irresistible personality. With a bigger smile than ever, Davon has that rare ability to quietly capture your attention, whether on stage or in person, and his rise is natural, built on connection and camaraderie. Dreamcastmoe has found a home at the iconic Midwest label Ghostly International, but in memory of the good old days, we decided to bring to life an idea born of mutual appreciation and a long-standing friendship.
