Ethic Of Radical Finitude

Description

“Ethic Of Radical Finitude” presents itself as the most melodic, structured, and dynamic album by the international quartet Downfall Of Gaia. It features the epic and fierce sounds that the band has mastered over the course of their albums. Unlike the previous albums, “Ethic Of Radical Finitude” is not a concept album, but the tracks come together around a core that gives the project coherence as a whole. Singer/guitarist Dominick Goncalves Reis speaks about the album, saying: “This new opus is made up of long atmospheric melodies that give the album room to breathe, and on the other hand, there are shrill and breathtaking melodies that are part of our identity.” The album was worked on at Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin by Jan Oberg, as well as at Backroom Studio (New Jersey), where Kevin Antreassian of Dillinger Escape Plan works. A handful of guests also contributed to the album, such as Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg Einer Freiheit) and their longtime friend Mers Sumida of Black Table.
