For his new album "El tiempo for testigo," Dorantes chose to record "live" in his studio. Surrounded by double bassist Francis Posé and drummer-percussionist Javi Ruibal, Dorantes alternates new compositions with new versions of the tracks that have marked his twenty-year career. "El tiempo for testigo" is one of the most beautiful flamenco jazz trio albums released in recent years. It is a pleasure to find, alongside new compositions such as "La maquina," where Dorantes plays the piano and typewriter, some of the hits that have marked his previous albums like Orobroy, Sin muros ni candados, or Caravana de los zincalis. Dorantes' music is joyful and virtuosic, his touch is fluid and elegant. A great camaraderie unites him with the talented musicians who accompany him. The audience is not mistaken and cheers for the trio at each of their concerts.
