Pique is the sensational debut solo album by Dora Morelenbaum, one of the leading talents at the forefront of the new Brazilian music wave. A member of the Latin Grammy-winning group Bala Desejo, Dora showcases a new facet of her solo productions on this special album. While Dora's first solo EP, Vento de Beirada, was an act of faith, Pique sees her rising to the status of a Brazilian star, bold, empathetic, yet always elegant. Building bridges between the past and the present, it is a more funky, groove-based affair, woven with those celestial, slower tracks that define her signature. Touching on disco, MPB, soul, R&B, and jazz, the album is enriched with an indie pop aesthetic thanks to her Brazilian compatriot and co-producer, Ana Frango Elétrico.
