Quintette à cordes

Description

« This fantastic complete collection sends Django and his friend Stéphane straight to the pantheon of jazz! »
Didier Lockwood By imagining this instrumental formula "without drums or trumpets", Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli left their mark on the history of jazz. From the enthusiasm of the 1930s to the splendors of the post-war period, the adventure of the Hot Club de France Quintette à cordes makes a perpetual renewal heard. Entirely remastered and brought together for the first time in its entirety, the flagship work of the two European masters blows an incredible wind of freedom. « With the versions in this box set, Django the master, the titan, my God, will finally be able to have some volume to stand up to Hendrix or Radiohead! »
Thomas Dutronc
