Safe And Sound

Description

With Safe+Sound (1995), his third album, DJ Quik reached new levels of musical magnificence with his unique signature P-Funk / G-Funk. Pure music rich in influences: jazz improvisations, gospel, psychedelic pop, and of course funk. Less dependent on samples and more focused on live instruments, Safe+Sound took Quik from producer status to that of a full-fledged composer. This album is a true masterpiece. Rich soundscapes and masterfully arranged orchestrations with dense layers of sound, complex rhythms, and well-balanced songwriting.
