DJ NOTOYA, whose mix "Tokyo 1980s" has captivated listeners around the world, returns with a new release. His previous album "Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition," a compilation of tracks selected from the Victor archives, achieved immense success in streaming and vinyl. The highly anticipated vinyl release of this second volume is now confirmed.
As indicated by the subtitle, this edition offers a varied selection reflecting DJ NOTOYA's unique taste, ranging from Japanese boogie to AOR, including slow and smooth tracks. The album includes eight tracks, including "I'M IN LOVE" by Aru Takamura, famous for its thick bass line and catchy groove, "YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE" by ONE LINE BAND (a precursor to SHOGUN led by Fujimaru Yoshino), as well as the danceable and delightfully mellow "ADIOS" by Sadistics, a group featuring Yukihiro Takahashi from YMO and Masayoshi Takanaka, currently very prominent internationally. The cover is also designed by Hiroshi Nagai.
