Sweep It Into Space

Originally scheduled for release in mid-2020, the timeline for this record was disrupted by the arrival of the plague. But it would take more than a mere Plague to temper the exquisite fury of this trio when they are unleashed. And "Sweep It Into Space" is a masterpiece of composition. Recorded, as usual, at Amherst's Biquiteen, the sessions for "Sweep It Into Space" began in late fall 2019, after a tour on the West Coast and Southeast of the United States. The only additional musician invited to participate on this album is Kurt Vile, who is also a co-producer. As usual, Lou Barlow writes and sings two of the twelve songs on the album, and Murph's drumming drives the record. Lou's songs here are as elegant as ever. They have a unique and recognizable sound signature, reminiscent of the Stooges or Sonic Youth.
